A fad color is a coat colour disqualified by the French Bulldog Breed Standard.

French Bulldogs should
only come in 3 colours:
BRINDLE, PIED and FAWN.

French Bulldogs
should NOT be
Mouse (Blue, Lilac, Lavender, Grey),
Liver (Chocolate),
Black&Tan,
Merle
or any colour or pattern other than the colours recognised in the Kennel Club Breed Standard.
WE ARE NOT BREEDING FAD COLORS FRENCHIES!!!
  BECAUSE
  • These colours are not naturally occurring in French Bulldogs
  • No responsible and reputable breeder would breed against their breed standard
  • The Kennel club will not register a French Bulldog in these colours, they will be labled as 'Colour Not Recognised'
  • Long ago in the past these colours were found to have health problems not usually found in the breed
  • It's most likely that other breeds have been introduced intentionally to produce these colours
  • It may not only be the colour that has been introduced, what about other traits, especially temperament
